What are financial derivatives?

Financial derivatives are the instruments used for online trading. Their value is reliant upon the value of an underlying asset or a group of assets. Financial derivatives allow faster access to the financial markets without buying-selling routines. The most common assets for financial derivatives include bonds, interest swaps, and contracts for difference. PrimeFin offers CFD trading on stocks, commodities, and others.

What is CFD trading?

A CFD or a Contract for Difference is one of the most widely used financial derivatives. It’s an agreement between buyers and sellers, meaning that the buyer should pay the seller difference between the starting value of the assets and its value at the contract time. So, with CFDs, you don’t need to own and sell actual bonds, stocks, and goods to speculate on their price movements.

Why trade CFDs?

CFDs allow entering multiple financial markets faster. First, there is no need to buy and invest in assets directly. Second, CFDs come along with leverage that in turn, allows for trading higher volumes with a relatively small starting capital. Third, traders can access various financial markets and trade CFDs on multiple assets such as stocks, metals, or indices.
